We address the problem of estimating the edge of a bounded set in R^d given a random set of points drawn from the interior. Our method is based on a transformation of estimators dedicated to uniform point processes and obtained by smoothing some of its bias corrected extreme points. An application to the estimation of star-shaped supports is presented.

We introduce the moduli of the supporting convexity and the supporting smoothness of a Banach space, which characterize the deviation of the unit sphere from an arbitrary supporting hyperplane. We show that the modulus of supporting smoothness, the Bana{ś} modulus, and the modulus of smoothness are all equivalent at zero, the modulus of supporting convexity is equivalent at zero to the modulus of convexity. We prove a Day--Nordlander type result for these moduli.

We prove that for any element $L$ in the completion of the space of smooth compact exact Lagrangian submanifolds of a cotangent bundle equipped with the spectral distance, the $γ$-support of $L$ coincides with the reduced micro-support of its sheaf quantization. As an application, we give a characterization of the Vichery subdifferential in terms of $γ$-support.

New paleomagnetic and chronological constraints on the Late Triassic position of the Eastern Qiangtang Terrane: Implications for the closure of the Eastern Paleo-Tethys
