Patient experience is a key indicator of healthcare quality. Access to general practice (GP) has shifted with increasing use of digital tools for contacting practices and more remote consultations. These changes may improve patient experience, but unequally across sociodemographic groups. This study examines how patient experience of GP varies by access mode and sociodemographic characteristics.

To date, no studies have assessed the relative and independent association of each factor using a large national dataset. We therefore sought to determine whether age, frailty, or their combined consideration most effectively predicts outcomes in geriatric patients with rib fractures.

Disrupting the path to cardiovascular disease: Stress-related coping and onset of hypertension and obesity.

Accumulating research suggests stress-related coping contributes to cardiovascular disease risk, but its association with upstream cardiometabolic conditions remains unexplored. We examined whether coping strategies generally deemed adaptive (e.g., acceptance) and maladaptive (e.g., self-blame), as well as variability in their use (reflecting attempts to find the best strategies for managing stressors) predict risk of developing hypertension and obesity.
