Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent malignant human tumors and a main cause of cancer death worldwide. Drug resistance limits the use of doxorubicin (DOX), a proliferation inhibitor used to treat HCC. This study aims to reveal the molecular mechanisms underlying DOX resistance and develop more effective therapies for HCC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) currently represents the third most prevalent cause of cancer-related deaths globally. HCC is typically diagnosed at advanced stages with metastasis, and has a poor outcome. In order to identify useful biomarkers for early diagnosis and develop novel therapeutic targets, it is necessary to better understand the cellular mechanisms driving HCC progression.
